Maidstone's Eco Hub Shortlisted for Revo Award
Maidstone’s Eco Hub is one of just three projects that has been shortlisted for this national award in the category of 'Best Local Authority/ Private Sector Partnership'.
Revo is a non-profit professional body and membership organisation, supporting the interests and values of the retail, leisure and placemaking real estate community. Each year Revo hold industry awards, The Revo’s, aim to recognise and celebrate those who are adapting and leading the way forward in the sector.
In partnership with Maidstone Borough Council, The Mall Maidstone entered Maidstone’s Eco Hub for the best local authority/ private sector partnership Revo award. This award recognises a Local Authority initiative that has had a major impact on the town centre experience for its residents and users.
Maidstone’s Eco Hub is an excellent example of a positive local authority and private sector partnership and was the first outlet of it's kind in Maidstone town centre. The public could get information about sustainable living and receive climate change advice, which proved invaluable in the current cost of living crisis. The innovative Hub helped to reinvigorate Maidstone town centre by instilling a real sense of Pride in Place for Maidstone residents and visitors to the County Town of Kent.
